It’s great that you’re still able to travel and enjoy yourself, despite having Crohn’s. You can’t let it take you away from life, and it sounds like you have everything fairly well planned out for those “just in case” moments. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, so I know on some level what it’s like to be wary of the food you eat, or deal with consequences of the food you eat, etc.

I don’t dare to do it, I only do local travel (visit places in vicinity of where I live). Some day I might dare it but not right now. Another reason why I don’t really travel is the expense of the disease itself- another set back but as you say, everything is possible if you plan it. These are great tips. I agree that planning ahead is important. Getting rest but still going for a walk and not staying seated all the time is important too. I also think getting a traveller insurance is a good thing. I don’ t remember the details right now but I know I have looked it up in the past and there are some great deals out there, the kind of affordable insurance that if it doesn’t cover everything still gives one an added sense of security.
