This was so informative, I think a post like this is needed for people wanting to know more about the disease and how to deal with it. Especially for those, who got recently diagnosed and might feel a bit lost and overwhelmed. Well done, dear! Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way, Amy! xx

Wow this is such a great post. I don't have Crohn's but have family members that do. I was diagnosed a few years ago with diabetes though and have had to get used to needles, injecting insulin, using a CGM, etc. so though I don't have Crohn's a lot of this speaks to me, especially about the lifestyle and dietary changes. Thanks for sharing.

I wish I was told to be less hard on myself and that it wasn't my fault. I think with any immune illness, people subconsciously try to blame it on the person who suffers from it, because if anyone can get it, they might be next so they NEED to put the blame on us. Understanding that it is fear that makes them so hostile to us helps somewhat. I also wished I knew sooner that remission isn't likely when you've have a severe case of an illness.

I've only heard of this disease recently and I can only say that my heart goes out to you. My husband has a mild form of IBS and sometimes it's been tricky for him to travel. I can only imagine how you've had to travel with Chrons. Glad you're preservering!

Thank you for sharing this! Although I don't have Crohn's disease, I can see how helpful this could be to those who do, or even just people in general! I'm glad you found a support group, I think it's key!

I have a friend who suffers from Crohn’s Disease and she had a difficult time when she was initially diagnosed as well. It is tough to live with but like you she has found a way and takes very good care of herself. Having a strong support system in place definitely makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing your story Amy <3
