There’s no better place to keep yourself entertained than a trip to the Entertainment Capital of the World. In Las Vegas, you’ll find tons of world class hotels, restaurants, and casinos that will fulfil some of your lifelong fantasies. Also known as Sin City, Las Vegas is a place that’s established a reputation as a city that never sleeps perfect for hen and stag dos, attracting millions of tourists from around the world each year.

If you only have one day to spend in this marvellous city, we’ve prepared a sample itinerary of some of the best things that Sin City has to offer.

What to do in the morning

Have breakfast at the Four Seasons. Before you embark on a day full of adventure in Las Vegas, you need to first have a hearty breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel’s Veranda, one of the city’s long time favourite spots due to its great food and ambience. Here, you can book a table outdoors where you can enjoy fresh, cold-pressed juice surrounded by lush Nevadan foliage.

Get your photo taken at the Las Vegas Welcome sign. After breakfast, it’s time to visit the iconic Las Vegas sign, which is only a short walk from the Four Seasons Hotel.

Satiate your thrill-loving soul at Circus Circus. One of the last remaining themed casinos in Las Vegas, Circus Circus has the world’s largest permanent circus. Here, you can check out the circus and trapeze acts, as well as play some of your favourite carnival games. Additionally, there are roller coasters situated in Circus Circus’ massive indoor theme park which you can try.

What to do at noon

Check out the amazing Fountains of Bellagio. This is arguably Las Vegas’ most “Instagrammable” location. At the famous Fountains of Bellagio, you can take tons of pictures to post on social media and watch the fountain show which features jets of water that shoot up to 140 metres in the air. After that, you can also check out the nearby Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where you can see their beautiful displays featuring the city’s best plants, flowers, and trees.

Eat at the Bacchanal Buffet. For lunch, we recommend going to the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars, one of the most popular buffets in Las Vegas. Eater.com notes that the restaurant is 2300-square-metres in size and can seat more than 600 people.

Do a little shopping at The Forum Shops. It’s time to walk off that buffet, and there’s no better way to do this than by doing some sightseeing or shopping for souvenirs at The Forum Shops at Caesars. Here you can find Roman statues, 160 stores, a replica of the Trevi Fountain, and a perpetually sunny sky-painted ceiling.

Have afternoon tea at the Waldorf Astoria. If you want to take a breather from walking around all day, why not have a light afternoon tea at Waldorf Astoria’s Tea Lounge. Looking out across the city, you can rest your feet and enjoy various loose leaf teas from around the world — all while taking in one of the best views in the city.

What to do in the evening

Play some poker at The Venetian. There are some truly magnificent poker rooms in Las Vegas. But Poker.org lists The Venetian as one of the best poker rooms around, with more than 35 tables and a convention centre where huge events are usually held. A lot of folks love playing at The Venetian because it is one of the few places in the city where you can play mixed games throughout the day.

Have dinner at a celebrity chef’s restaurant. WhereTraveler.com highlights how Las Vegas has become a foodie’s paradise, thanks to the sheer volume of celebrity chefs who have decided to open their restaurants in the city. You can find various restaurants from familiar TV faces — from Giada de Laurentiis and her chic restaurant at the Cromwell Hotel to David Chang and his hip and bold Momofuku.

You can end your Las Vegas day in two ways: by seeing one of the five running Cirque du Soleil shows in the city or by trying your luck at one of the city’s bustling casinos. The choice is completely up to you.

Our one day itinerary in Las Vegas covers most of what you need to check out in Sin City. But for more travel guides and insights, be sure to check our other posts here on Wandering Everywhere.
