4. Biking Through St Kitts’ Cane Fields to Brimstone Hill Fortress
If there’s one spot that makes you feel like you’re pedalling back in time, it’s St Kitts. As you cycle, the sweet smell of sugar is unmistakable, and the route will take you to Brimstone Hill Fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Be ready for a bit of a climb, but the views of the island are well worth it. There are a few detours that include bat-filled caves and beautiful beaches – Cockleshell Beach and Frigate Bay Beach are great!
5. Swimming with Pigs in Exuma, Bahamas
Exuma’s famous swimming pigs are as charming as you would imagine, and there’s nothing quite like seeing them up close. As you arrive by small boat, they will generally swim up to greet you – a one-of-a-kind experience.
It’s said that the pigs were left on the island by sailors as a future food source, but they’re now the stars of the sandbar.
